The Irish Classic and Vintage Motor Show in Terenure College, Dublin has been a favourite of mine since I started my life of Mini ownership. Apart from it being my local show, it’s also the largest in Ireland and is run incredibly well by the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club – the perfect opportunity to show off the revamped Mk1!
Apart from a spit n’ shine, I also gave the Mini its long awaited racing stripes which I’m very pleased with. Thanks to Jonathan White at Insignia Signs for sorting me out!

I was delighted that the car received a lot of attention and was in my element talking to fellow Mk1 fans about the car. Was also delighted to meet Dominic who’s father, Michael Leonard, established the very first Granby Motors in 1972. Dom can remember working on Granby vans in the lane as a young child and even had one of his father’s original business cards which he kindly gave me – what a small world we live in!
