27/10/16 – Testing, testing…

After the hassle with fuel starvation the last time I had the car on track, I finally managed to get some decent track time in!

We brought the car down to Octane Track Days’ OTD29, in the company of 3 other Minis, and got some decent time on track while making a few tweaks to the set up along the way.

The motor was absolutely superb (thanks to Paul Hickey and Martin Tracey) and the lap times we were putting in were right up there with the fastest Minis to have driven the International circuit.

More development is needed, on the suspension in particular, and we’ll be back out to test again soon in preparation for racing with the HRCA next year.

Albert O’Donnell of The Mini Repair Centre in Delgany proved he’s not just talented with a spanner by taking some stunning shots of the action on the day!
